In my last post I shared the photographs from Unna Burch and Mindy Dalzell's Flour & Flower workshop for Wellington On a Plate. Now I'm excited to share the photographs from Unna's launch for her book My Garden Kitchen, held at the Innermost Community Gardens in Mount Victoria, here in Wellington, New Zealand.
I love Unna's book; I've been making my way through the recipes and my cooking skills and understanding of flavour profiles beyond my own tried and tested recipes are much improved! To celebrate this wonderful book Unna hosted her family and friends, sponsors and supportive people who enabled Unna to achieve publishing success.
Jodie from The Couture Candy Buffet Company styled the refreshment stations, which were resplendent in Tuatara, Antipodes Water, Hunky Dory and Huia Vineyards products. Kim from Matterhorn created a bespoke cocktail for the event with my absolute favourite, New Zealand made Rogue Society Gin (check out their website, amazing). The Canapé Company made canapé interpretations of Unna's recipes from the book and Mindy from Twig & Arrow created a breathtaking two meter high Protea speckled floral installation. Unna screened the film that Josiah from Firetale Films created for her and the combination of all this goodness made it a wonderful event. Congratulations Unna!
